My Jewish community has continued to to be “triggered” by opposition to Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians, so I made them a helpful guide as to when they should feel “safe” and “unsafe”.
First I made it in handy paper form and sent it to politicians. I trust they’ve shown it to the Zionist members of their community and it’s done a heap of good already, so now it’s time to put it out for anyone to use.
Here’s a large version.
The good people at Cartoonists for Palestine have published it there as well. I suggest going over there and checking out all the good stuff comics artists have done on this topic; it’s rather heartwarming.
But I realised that some people just won’t read a comic. They need motion! So I figured, “I have the tools, why not animate it as well?”
I’m continuing to offer a free digital copy of Squishbook: Make comics with Squishface Studio and friends! to anyone taking part in Cartoonist Co-op‘s e-SIMs for Gaza campaign. The #ConnectingGaza campaign supplies e-SIMs to people on the ground in Gaza, allowing them to circumvent internet disruption/blackout during the siege and continue connecting with the wider internet.
If you want to make a donation, follow the instructions here. It’s not too hard.
Gut shabbes!
