Scribing about scribing

You can be employed to do this, though I often do it on paper for my own benefit at conferences or talks I attend. This year I’ve had more …

2013: a recap

I had a good year, and I’m thankful. I know not everyone did. I had a bunch of good jobs and did a lot of my own work and had fun in between. Here’s some of what I got up to in 2013! You can click it for a larger version.

P.J. Hogan on being told how to write by dipshits

I love this little article from the Australian Writer’s Guild magazine. It’s by P.J. Hogan, director of Muriel’s Wedding. The stuff about Lift-Off feels familiar.

No, really, I’m a writer

My day job at the moment is animating on the second series of Dogstar! The same trailer, in Japanese: I worked on the original series a few years back. As Australian kids TV goes, it’s pretty shit-hot (this means “good”). So Michael V (my deskmate) and I would amuse ourselves by coming up with ideas …

Anti-Procrasto Week

David Blumenstein

I’m a service designer, cartoonist and co-founder of Squishface Studio. I’ve done comics for The Guardian, Crikey and Australian MAD. Currently also deputy president of the Australian Cartoonists Association.

I usually write about things that shit me off, from bad workplaces (The Bret Braddock Adventures) to pick-up artists (#takedown) to white supremacist trolls (The Internet’s Most Trolled Cartoonist).

I’m working on graphic novels called Sciensatics (about cultists) and Free Money, Please (about wealth and passive income).
