We did another four sessions of COMIC BOOK FUNNY. In week one, **Jo Waite**, **Sarah Howell** and our audience enjoyed a bit of low key chat, tea and cucumber sandwiches while they drew pictures of sexy comics men **Neale Blanden**, [**Pat Grant**](http://www.patgrantart.com/?ref=nakedfella.com) and **David Blumenstein** (me).

In week two, our very special guest, **Gerard Ashworth**, spoke with very special comics broadcaster [**John Retallick**](http://thecomicspot.blogspot.com/?ref=nakedfella.com) about his life, his work and why cartoonists should try a bit harder.

I hope to make audio and video of this full session available soon.

In week three, there was a spirited discussion between myself, **Pat Grant** and [**Patrick Alexander**](http://www.chickennation.com/?ref=nakedfella.com) about "dirty comics", writing and censorship. Here's an excerpt in which Patrick explains just how clever he is!

In week four, [**Bernard Caleo**](http://www.cardigancomics.com/?ref=nakedfella.com) launched the lovely new **Sexy Men of Australian Comics 2009-2010 Financial Year Calendar** with a classic brew of silliness, boisterousness and flattery. Huzzah!

Yes, I will get the calendar into stores in Melbourne if I possibly can. In the meantime, if one wishes to purchase the calendar, one may PayPal five Aussie dollars to me, my e-mail for these purposes being david {at} nakedfella.com, being sure to provide a mailing address. Then this marvel can be yours: twelve months of sexy Australian comic artists, starting with "Mr July" 2009, Pat Grant.

The sessions were a lot of fun. Huge thanks to everybody who came out for one or more!
